There actually was an ice age. The earth is warmer now. The Earth is changing, evolving, and these changes will continue until the Earth no longer exists. And even that end is coming.
But, alas, Global Warming, while a genuine concern, is hardly science. While there are anomalies that have occurred over the last 75 years they indicate absolutely nothing. Serious, credible and fully accredited scientists do not believe that global warming is happening at all. Moreover they are absolutely POSITIVE that the anomalies often cited by Global Warming Zealots are not even remotely man made.
James Delingpole has written an excellent report titled "Earth is Safe From 'Global Warming' Say The Men Who Put a Man on the Moon." Citing over 40 scientists, Astronauts and ex-NASA employees who have formed The Right Climate Stuff Research Team Delingpole reports:
The planet is not in danger of catastrophic man made global warming. Even if we burn all the world's recoverable fossil fuels it will still only result in a temperature rise of less than 1.2 degrees C.
It's not necessary for you agree with they ex-NASA scientists. But you must not deny that there is serious and legitimate debate.
Political footballs do not science make.
The bottom line is not to deny climate change, but to carefully study it further and stop the hysteria that leads to political warfare, false fund raising, political posturing and the efforts to ban and censor anyone who dares to disagree with the Zealot's Warming Alarmist Creed.

There are only two primary drivers of average global temperature change. They very accurately explain the reported up and down measurements since before 1900 with R2>0.9 (correlation coefficient = 0.95) and provide credible estimates back to the low temperatures of the Little Ice Age (1610).
CO2 change is NOT one of the drivers.
The drivers are given at

Once the climate drivers are identified it is obvious why the warming ended.
@I_M I guess the dozens of Nobel Laureates concerned about climate change just don't get it, nor do the national academies of science in every country of the world, right?
Instead of parading this nonsense in front of bloggers, why don't you try to publish this in Nature or Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, for example?
Time swiftly passes away and we are losing precious opportunities to avoid runaway climate trauma. Experts tell us we have only years, not decades....
... no time for playing ping-pong with these road apples (horse turds) the deniers are so fond of.
Those concerned about the climate might join Citizens Climate Lobby, citizensclimatelobby.org. It's a very effective organization with concrete solutions approved by most scientists and economists.
jzf, Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to both read and comment on my blog. Your views are a welcome addition to the discussion.
My concern, and your post illustrates it so perfectly, is that Global Warming Advocates tend to attack opponents, demonize and ridicule them, but rarely, if ever, contribute any facts to the discussion.
Dan Pangburn (who commented right before you) posts in depth studies with significant data and facts to bolster his opinions. Yet you'll notice he attacks no one. He contributes to the science and to the debate.
While I certainly don't dispute the honesty of your position, you attack me for "parading this nonsense in front of bloggers" without posting one significant fact or rebuttal.
The real problem is Global Warming Advocates want only to end all debate, silence the opposition.
When Charles Krauthammer writes an op-ed in the Washington Post, the response in not a learned essay of facts from one of the supposed "dozens of Nobel Laureates," but a petition demanding the Post not publish his essay.
Silence the opposition.
The humor that Global Warming Advocates are behaving EXACTLY like the Catholic Church in silencing Galileo is not missed on any real scientists. Galileo was placed under house arrest and not executed on one condition and one condition only: that he never write a single word supporting his theories about the earth and sun. Had Galileo published a defense of his theory, he would have been burned at the stake like his fellow theorist Giordano Bruno. Bruno's story was brilliantly told in the new science television series "Cosmos" just last week.
Bruno just refused to shut up while Galileo kept his silence.
Please feel free to post your thoughts here anytime, they will never be censored, blocked or deleted.
Wow, excellent blog posting and response to jzf. I am intrigued to read more of Dan Pangburns offerings.
One of the more curious findings, to me, is the lack of the well touted climate models accuracy.
If you understand how research science works and that the scientific method requires review and retesting, there are grave questions to be answered.
33 years since Hansen predicted 20 feet of sea level rise.
Only 19.9 feet left to go.
